Here are some treks you will find interesting and engaging. These trips offer some good challenges and you can choose the distances and the type of water you will paddle. You can plan for this wonderful excursion and Tideway will make all the arrangements for your overnight stay in scenic, historic Maine locations. Choose one or choose them all.
Trek One: Tideway will put you on the water in the Sasanoa River, near Bath, which is about 40 miles east of Portland. You'll travel about 12 miles through Upper Hells Gate, but don't let the name fool you. You'll love it as we travel back in time, over Hockomuck and Montsweag bays, through the Consweag Narrows and into Wiscasset, "the prettiest town in Maine."

Trek Two: Tideway will take you down the Sheepscot River to the Cross River, along the east side of Barters Island and through Townsend Gut. Your trip will end in Boothbay Harbor. You may very well decide to spend the night in this charming seaside village and we'll make your reservations for you!

Trek Three: This popular four-hour guided tour allows participants more time to get a true feel for traveling by sea kayak. We depart from either Damariscotta or East Boothbay, one of the most picturesque harbors in New England, following the gentle sea breeze and tides to our destination while paddling along some of the most scenic shoreline on the coast of Maine.
